All the employees were hospitable and excellent.

Its stunning, central location was a plus.

The stay here was lovely for 2 nights. The staff were all excellent and the breakfast was marvellous with fresh fruits and maybe 2 prices, for instance. Stunning location - a short way from everywhere we needed.

I loved the luxurious breakfast and the attention to detail in the room, like the cozy towels and the fresh flowers. I'd definitely stay here again.

En suite deluxe double room with a bedside table, hot tub, as for instance. Marvellous location in a beautiful setting, close to pubs and cafes. Again, not far from a petrifying well.

Charming common areas with a cozy atmosphere.

The private bathroom was unexpectedly across the hallway. Thin walls meant we felt pressured to stay quiet, even during personal moments. The bed's placement against the wall made moving around awkward, and it lacked basic amenities like a nearby plug socket.

The outdoor terrace was lovely, but the wet room felt cramped for space.

The Beautiful Double Room was super cosy and clean. Loved the little touches like chocolate and biscuits. The wet-room was perfect for hot showers, and the tea-making supplies were always topped up. It felt so homely. Mike was a great host, super friendly and helpful. My only gripe was that it could get a bit noisy in the morning with breakfast traffic downstairs.

Perfect getaway with a hot tub!

What a fab place! The room was great with a private hot tub, which we loved. Mike, the owner, was super helpful with local tips and made an amazing breakfast. Just a short walk to the train for a quick ride to York. Only thing, the shower could've been a bit stronger, but overall, it was a solid stay!

The hot tub provided a relaxing experience, and the good buttery croissants were a highlight at breakfast. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. There was significant limescale on the shower head, and the bathroom fan was dirty, which overshadowed the pleasant atmosphere. Despite the helpfulness of the host, the overall condition of the room was concerning, especially with cobwebs in the corners.

Teardrop Cottage is beautifully decorated with charming touches throughout, and the common areas are inviting and accessible. The lovely rooftop terrace offers a perfect view of the river and the fine viaduct.

More senior-friendly bathroom options would be helpful.

Comfortable room, inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxation with great facilities like the jacuzzi, and a cute host who ensured our stay was enjoyable while conveniently located near the river for easy exploration.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The hot tub was the highlight of our stay-so relaxing! We loved the lovely selection of teas and chocolates in the room as well.
